
Chris Allnutt
Chris Allnutt is a seasoned bonsai artist from Sydney, Australia, with over 40 years of experience in the art form. He started his travels with Judith and George Stockton (Barker St Nursery) at Strathfield Evening College. He then progressed through Ryde Tafe - Bonsai for Hobbists, to the Imperial Gardens Bonsai and The School of Bonsai, both as a student and instructor. He left both to attend the Ryde TAFE and do an evening course Certificate of Horticulture - Nursery Studies.
Chris has participated in numerous international bonsai conferences, including five world bonsai friendship conferences, five BCI conferences and two Asia Pacific conferences. He has traveled to to Europe, China, Korea, and Japan to deepen his understanding of bonsai.
In his presentations from Wagga Wagga up to Port Macquarie with most clubs and events in Sydney Chris has shared his expertise on developing shohin bonsai, often bringing a selection of his finest works for inspiration. He has a love of grafting and an indepth knowledge of fertilising.
His dedication to the art and his willingness to share knowledge have made him a respected figure among bonsai enthusiasts in New South Wales.
