About Us
The Bonsai Federation of Australia Northern Inc is committed to promoting the art of bonsai throughout New South Wales and beyond.
Our mission is to:
Promote the art of bonsai within the general community, bonsai clubs, societies, and groups across Australia.
Liaise between member clubs and interstate or international bonsai organisations.
Assist in the establishment of new clubs.
Support member clubs in enhancing their bonsai activities.
Provide educational opportunities to member clubs through demonstrations and speakers, both nationally and internationally.
Each year, we proudly host the highly anticipated “Bonsai by the Harbour” event during the long weekend in June. This premier event showcases stunning bonsai exhibits, expert demonstrations, and hands-on workshops, providing a unique opportunity for learning, networking, and celebrating the bonsai community.
Through our membership program, local clubs can join the Federation for just $30 per year. As a member, clubs gain access to a list of experienced demonstrators who can enrich their events through professional guidance and inspiration. Member clubs can also claim up to $110 when engaging one of our demonstrators, ensuring access to high-quality bonsai instruction and enhancing their club’s activities.
